Basic Training for New Advocates
Wetaskiwin and District Victim Services annually hosts basic training for new advocates. The training takes place over six days, always on weekends. Other Victim Services Units are welcome to send their advocates to this training. In 2009 the training is scheduled for October 3, 4, 17 and 18, as well as two days early in the new year, date to be announced. Advocates who successfully complete all the training are eligible for the Solicitor General Basic Training Certificate.
